Where is the best place to get a crankshaft pulley for the Toyota Lite Ace 1994. Rang Toyota and want £189.00 + VAT for it and nearly died of shock. Someone said that the engine was the same as in a TownAce so might look at the breakers yard but before i do want to see if anyone can help me/.

Is the Liteace pulley a double type, ie, with two belts driving the fan and alternator? I could help with a single groove pulley, ie, as fitted to Townaces previous to around 1989.

I got one ( Double pulley type with bolt on additional pulley ) through the Jap breakers advertsised in Exchange and Mart. If I recall correctly it was £117 inclusive of delivery from London to NI. All I needed was a new bolt from the local Toyota Dealer - about £2.00
