(Home) BoK troll

The Troll has singled me out, and in order not to confuse anyone, I shall not post to this forum over the summer.
I will continue to read and contact direct where appropriate.
Unless of course Mark can block it's IP address?

Clive - See you at Woodvale and or Brean.

That's what I hoped *wouldn't* happen. I fully understand your sentiments, Clive, and had requested an IP ban a number of times. It's a shame to see the site go downhill because of this buffoon.

Would you be good enough to drop me an email sometime? I don't have any record of your addy...

We'll miss you Clive.

See you next year baldy ;)

who's coming to woodvale this year ???????

Perhaps what we need on the site is a proper login name and password as the MEG (Mondeo Enthisiast Group) site does for Example and you have to be a member to post anything.

Then the 'Troll' could not capture the identity of Anyone as he will not know the password that you have to type in to actually 'log in'.

Clive should not have to stop posting just because of an idiot taking advantage of the site.

Ok , Mark is doing it. I only just read it.

- (#1740) Andy, 20 Jun 05 03:47

Should we be using this board or the new one?

- (#1740) Phil (SE London), 21 Jun 05 00:40

Hello Phil,

I would prefer to see people move over to the new BoK because I'd like to give it a full run for a few weeks prior to a complete changeover.

It is a little different to this one, the main reason beng the bonus of security. The new site has IP tracking that means every posting shows the computer that the message came from. Any abuse and I just block that IP address from posting again - No misuse of the BoK.

You do need to log in, which also means you can't pose as another member of the group and all postings from a single user can be deleted with a single click of the mouse.

There is also a search facility and additional areas for specific queries and items offered and wanted.

Thanks for the link.

If I had read all the recent messages I would have found it - so my apologies for wasting your time.
