Hi all, I have a spacecruiser (petrol 2 litre) which developed all sorts of problems with the original carb. I have changed it for a 38 dgas webber (£25.00 from ebay). Swap is quite easy - slight difference in mounting holes can be made up with an ali plate. Throttle cable fixes straight on and a manual choke too!! Performance better mid range but i've not changed any jets yet as it was jetted for a 2litre Pinto engine anyway. A replacement air box on top of the carb was fabricated from an old fiat one (£5.00 from scrappy) and mates to the original air filter. Its been on for 2 months now and always starts first time and runs smoothly.
Any comments most welcome - esp re the correct jetting.
