Not posted here before, but I thought I'd share the news that my 1991 Masterace Surf 4X4 has just got a new Mot. Not entirely easy, but in the process I found a mechanic who seems very sympathetic and reasonably priced.
I had new anti-roll bar bushes, new brake pads and overhauled callipers (seized), rear spring mountings needed some welding and a new fog-light. Exhaust rear section was recently renewed as where some tyres. All parts from BBC spares - what a service! 18 hr. delivery!
I'm also now running on 100% Bio-diesel. It seems to work well. Unfortunatly I forgot to ask the MoT tester to keep the reults for the emmissions so can't quote the figures.
Thanks to all on the BoK for the many bits of invaluable information - I have to say the Townie is the best of its kind I've come across and without this forum it would be almost impossible to maintain.
