is it possible to remove the oil pump from a 2ct engine without dropping the sump?thanks

Maybe. Extracting the studs that attach between pump and sump *should* allow you to pull the pump straight forward and off the block. Breaking the seal might be fun tho...

Thanks for the reply.Not possible to remove oil pump without dropping sump as there is a 10mm bolt inside the sump connected to the oil pump housing.Awkward job.Also I found its not possible to pull the sump off to clean as there is no clearance.I ended up removeing the anti roll bar and dropping the front engine mounts an inch to allow the sump to slip past.Any thoughts on what to use to seal the sump back to the block?thanks
