(Home) 1987 Spacecruiser stolen in london

my 1987 toyota spacecruiser has been stolen. i was almost finished on the bodywork and was on the paint job so it's easily identifiable. both front doors, front of cab and roof are the originial silver/gold colour. the right handside, boot door and left hand sliding door are corvette red, finished paintwork. the back lefthand side including wheel arch is red primer. the van was stolen on junction of palmerston crescent and admaston road on wednesday 08 june 2005. it is still in one piece as it was seen on 19th june crossing the yorkshire green roundabout near eltham in south east london (the one with the drive through mcdonalds) at about 13.30pm. if anyone sees this, please call plumstead police station on 020 8855 1212 and report a sighting. it's my pride and joy, and i've spent a lotof hours resoting this baby to it'sformerglory only tohave it nicked from under my nose and then driven past me. the original plates are e708 frt , but i thought i glimpsed a g plate on it yesterday as it drove past. thankyou very much. there is a reward available !!!!!

Thats too bad Peter. If it does turn up, don't forget your welcome to turn up at Brean in Sept.

Thanks for your support... I forgot to add the CAD number that needs to be quoted if anyone spots this little lady. CAD 11528... many thanks. It would be good to be at Brean... but I don't think I'd get let in with my corolla :-)

Yippee... Lewisham police station called me yesterday lunchtime. Seems my spacecruiser has been found, over Brockley / Catford way.... it was reported in by a member of the public. I went to check it out, and found it in exaclty the same condition as when it was stolen.... amazingly my tool kits were still in the back, along with an old tangon can and some chip wrappers, that I'd left there. The wife reckons, it was stolen to do a job and then dumped. There were 785 new miles on the clock.... which is a fair bit in 3 weeks, but at least she's home again.... now I can finish the restoration.... although I'm feeling a little jaded by the whole affair, and may just end up selling her on.... not sure yet....
