hi i have a townace super extra turbo auto 4 whel drive on a F plate 1988 right hand drive the numbers off the vin plate are B N-2C-7 CR30G PE2X GR 30-0030294 WHAT i need is the gearbox model number . i have had 3 boxs sent to me but have all been tha wrong ones so if any there has tha same van could you please let me have the model no.thanks

gearbox mod nos
CR30 (4WD Townace) 88/08 to 92/02 35000-28250
86/01 to 88/08 35000-28210
85/10 to 86/01 35000-28200
Don't know where the part no is nor if they are interchangable.

wrong how? What you really need to confirm is whether your townie is early (4x4 on lever) or post 08/88 (with the electric/ vacuum 4x4 actuator). Physically, they should all interchange it's just the ancilliaries that differ...

They're all the same, that's the problem. They're all different variants of the A45DF... Some kind person has already posted the Toyota part numbers for the complete transmission. Now I can't tell you tho whether that number actually appears anywhere on your tranny (Toyota know what it is, And Aisin use their own numbers...)

Can you please confirm whether your vehicle has manual OR vacuum 4x4 selection. You could also tell us whether it's a mk1 (rectangular glass headlights, no reflector panel on tailgate) or a mk2 with more streamlined headlights and a red panel on the tailgate

So where is your original tranny, anyway?
