Tunnel Treat

Sarah Patey reports, "We took our Townace to France on the Eurotunnel Shuttle this year [2001] and discovered that we had to pay about £60 extra because of the height of the vehicle. I discovered that there is a list of 'exceptions', i.e. vehicles over 1.85m which are allowed to travel at the rate charged to vehicles under 1.85m. I wrote to the MD of Eurotunnel, saying that there are more and more of these around, and he has agreed to add the Townace to the 'exceptions' list. You can now travel through the tunnel in a Townace at the same rate as other cars."
