I had a lot of black smoke and some loss of power. They readjusted the fuel injection equipment and no spares were needed. Total cost £90 . Smoke down to acceptable MOT levels and also (only slightly) more uuummph.

They do a lot of work for a local importer of Japanese grey import sports cars so are very Japanese car literate. They do not purport to have any special knowledge of Townaces etc. but were very willing to have a go and have quickly traced and sorted out my problem. (cracked circuit board in the imobiliser).

ARS Auto Repairs Services on 01903-527066 (in Beckett Road behind Old Nicks). Mechanic Lance is well versed in the ways of Townace! After recently suffering an unknown squeal, it took Lance about 30 secs to identify a cracked manifold gasket, repaired in 2 days. £20 Toyota gasket, £80 labour.
